Co Sleepers – How your little one to sleep in his own bed?
Our daughter is 7 months old. Sometimes I put it in his own bed, only to see if she’d rather be there. Tonight she fell in her room and has not made a look in that (never happened)! Do you think this is off? Is your baby just decided “Yes, I’m sleeping in my bed from now on” or was a little effort? Thank you! I thought to add – do not care if she is with us, just thought you might want a little space, you know
Babies and adults sleep better on their own. • Exchange sleep. In the original edition of the book, Ferber was firmly opposed to the idea of parents and children sleeping together, saying: “We know for a fact that people better sleep alone in bed, “and arguing that learning to sleep alone is an important part of healthy child development. The revised edition, Ferber is far less rigid on the subject. Children who co-sleep, he says, “are not prevented from learning to separate, or to develop their own sense of individuality, simply because they sleep with their parents. Anything you can do, what you feel comfortable doing is right, while working. “ETA: Personally, I think a baby should be sleeping on their own from day one. We had the crib in our room for 6 weeks, then right on the mark of 6 weeks, moved into her room and she is 9 months and sleeps 8-10 hours a night because he likes to sleep alone. When we try to bring to bed with us and wants her to contort their own space, I can see why. I like my own space when I’m sleeping too. Who does not? Not a big fan of co-sleeping, lol.
