Is it safe to paint a changing table and comfortable?

Recently bought a white crib for my new baby on the way, money is a little tight, so I decided to use an old bit comfortable for her and I’m going to buy a used changing table off craigslist. However, it is white crib and dresser and changing table are black / brown wood. I wondered if I used the lead paint would not paint the changing table comfortable and safe? Is there any type of paint that is recommended for baby paint material? I want to be sure because not want to risk harming in any way. I also wonder because I wanted to paint your name on the commode because there is some space that would be nice. Furthermore, if it’s OK to paint, do I just go in front of a painting or I do something for the furniture first? Thank you very much! =]

Any painting currently available to the consumer is lead free. Lead was banned in the years 70’s. For best results you want to use oil based (alkyd) paint. The latex paints and alkyd paints are not flowing. You can see brushstrokes using latex. Alkyds give a more durable finish much more difficult. It is a VOC paint little higher, but quickly dissipate. (24-48 hours) to give the piece an sandpaper with about 220 grit sandpaper then do the whole surface is clean and dust free. A strong suggestion, do not go to a store cash for painting. Go to a real paint store, all they do is sell the painting and the employees were not in the plumbing department last week and the wood previous week. Moving baby Moses basket cot in your room???? "

My daughter is now 6 months and is a little big for his Moses basket. First night of trying she cried in her crib Blue Murder! In the end i gave in (i know i shouldn't but the neighbors began to moan damn!) Tonight i have put it in the Moses basket, inside the crib to get her used to her new environment first and so far is sleeping well. Has anyone else had problems with this? I also think she's awake at times because his arms were flying over its wake. Ive been told you should not wrap a baby at 6 months, but I can try to wrap slightly so that your arms are placed in it, but is still able to get if she wants? Or does anyone have any advice on this? Thanks!
